Our new class member

We have a special addition to our classroom and we have called him Harakeke (Flax). He is a frog.
He was found by two of our senior children at the end of our field sitting on a flax bush. We think because of all the building and banging on the ground he has decided that the school field was a safer place to live. He nearly got hit from a ball, so we have made him a special enclosure with rocks, greenery and a pond. We have been feeding him meal worms. He likes eating the meal worms. We will keep him safe until we find a suitable pond to set him free.
